Lisa participated in a panel discussion on developing a National Water Vision for Canada at the Canadian Science Policy Conference in Ottawa

Drawing on the most recent research from Simon Fraser University, this session tackled the water related challenges across Canada driven by climate change, urbanization, population growth, water pollution and aquatic ecosystem degradation, which pose a serious threat to Canada's sustainable development. Supporting Ryerson Urban Water, Lisa participated in a panel discussing what is needed to move forward on a national policy, given the diversity and pressures. In additional to Lisa's urban planning implementation experience, this panel included University experts, Federal MP and Chief Linda Debassige representing indigenous perspective. Agreat basis for moving forward with policy on water was developed through the discussion, thanks to the Universities leading this charge.
