The panel session at the DRI2020 conference brought together leaders in policy, implementation and finance for Resilient CIties

With Dr Alexander Mirescu @ResilientCity16 I joined a panel at the Disaster Recovery Institute International Conference, Savannah, Georgia. The emphasis was on building climate resiliency through private sector and public sector engagement. Cities are focusing on solutions to flooding and disruption with innovative approaches to funding, design of spaces, technological solutions and improved sustainability. We need to collaborate and innovate in how we address city buildng today.

Alexander Mirescu from Resilient City, led a panel discussion with Amy Macdonald from Thornton Tomasetti, Allen Kratz from Resilience Works and Lisa Prime from PRIME on the global impacts of climate change and the issues and approaches to address risk and design for future city environments. the role of the private sector in bringing solutions and flexibility is needed to improve how we protect and grow cities.
