This progressive development brought a geo-exchange community energy system to a low rise neighbourhood in north Markham supporting net zero objectives for the CIty. A partnership between the City of Markahm, Mattamy Homes and Enwave Energy, PRIME supported the collaboration including accessing Toronto Atmospheric Fund investment in due diligence.

PRIME provided a central role in co-ordinating engagement between public and private sector partners and with key stakeholders and agencies internal and external to the City of Markham. PRIME successfully facilitated multi-stakeholder workshops and supported the team of partners to facilitate agreement and resolution to key issues of coordination as well as clearly identifying approvals requirements. PRIME also supported the team in submission and award of The Atmospheric Fund (TAF) funding and managed TAF reporting for the project. This project will help the City of Markham work towards Its net-zero objectives and help advance geothermal community energy systems across the GTHA.
